New tax measures for property investors
Since the beginning of this year, new rules have been in force for box 3 (investment yield tax) for property investors. For example, the empty value ratio changes to 95%, the notional return rises to 6.17% and the capital gains tax goes to 32%. Because of those three changes, the impact of the new box 3 rules is negatively visible.

Mid-rent regulation
Recently, there has been a lot of speculation about adjusting the home valuation system, also known as the points system. Minister de Jonge wants to create a regulated middle segment (up to €1,100 rent per month) by raising the number of points to 187. Intends to introduce the above as of 2024, this will only have an impact on new rental agreements. But to this point, nothing is certain about this. The limit currently has 142 points.
